Geocache Description:

Governers Hill is an important habitat for the Supberb Parrot which is listed as vunerable under both the State and Government legislation.


The trees in the area are also utilised for feeding sites further afield from their nesting sites which are located in the hollows of large River Red Gum trees. Governers Hill is helping the recovery of the species by retaining valuable habitat, establishing a flyaway and encouraging residents to establish native vegetation on their properties and managing domestic cats by imposing curfews.
