Du er tæt på Hanstholm Vildtreservat, når du besøger Vilsbøl Klitplantage. Og selvom det er i Vildtreservatet, at du har bedst chance for at se krondyr, kan du også være heldig at se dem her.
De går omkring i området, som byder på en god variation af skov og mindre, åbne arealer. Bedst chance har du en stille aften eller en tidlig morgen. I brunsttiden – i sensommeren – kan du være heldig at høre hjorten, hannen, brøle.
I brunsttiden skal du i øvrigt være særlig varsom med ikke at forstyrre dyrene. Her skal de have ro for at sikre næste års afkom.
