High Nevada desert. Can drive nearby, park and walk around to find the cache. Watch for snakes!
Nifty little site, especially if you're into local history. Used a clear plastic container, so it's a bit smaller than a ammo can.
The stash contains:
*Tonopah & Regional mining promotional pamplets and maps.
*Joe Bender
*Sobe lanyard
*2 Tonopah postcards
*Mini (I mean mini) first aid kit
*Pepper spray.
I highly recommend checking out some of the other sites around this area. There are really nifty things to see, especially for history buffs. If you're into what you see at this site, about a mile west is a really cool historic park. I recommend checking it out.
The cache is well hidden, at least I think so. I don't know if it is too well hidden. But, you may want to refer to the hint. Also, I forgot to throw a pencil in the cache, there's a pen, but I didn't have a pencil and forgot to go buy some. So, if a generous sole out there wants to leave a couple pencils that would be great.

UPDATE - 5/3/03 - Went down to check on the cache. Seemed in good condition. Replaced the container with a new rubbermaid container with a blue lid. It is larger, so there is now more room. I left a disposible camera, feel free to take it, as sometimes we're all in need of a roll of film or camera. Happy hunting! -NevadaMtnBear
