Lake Trash Cache #19 - The Hot Seat Traditional Cache

This is our favorite spot on Lake Weatherford to drop anchor and jump in for a cool dip. The water here is cooler than up on the shallower north end during the hot summer months and seems to be clearer than other areas of the lake due to the prevailing south wind. For a wide open shoreline, this spot is fairly secluded and usually absent of people, so I thought it would be a good place for a hide. 

GEOCACHING RULE #1 (IMHO):  ALWAYS REPLACE THE CONTAINER BACK INTO THE EXACT SPOT IN WHICH YOU FOUND IT. THIS WILL PRESERVE THE ORIGINAL INTENT OF THE GEOCACHE DESIGN AND MAKE IT EASIER FOR THE OWNER TO MAINTAIN THE GEOCACHE. If you want to suggest a different hiding place or any other improvements, please do so through the Message Center.

I wouldn't recommend sitting on the bench during the summertime as you may leave some hide behind when you depart, but I do suggest that you wear a swimsuit and wade on in as a reward for the .2 mile hike! The designated parking spot is near several other caches and is about the same distance as the approach from the west, if not closer. You'll be walking across a frisbee golf course, so watch out for flying discs! Or, if you happen to be out on the lake, the best approach is by boat. BYOP. Good luck and have fun!
