The Basics
What? A caching hunt by car followed by a BBQ!
Where? Jack Seaton Park, Lake Country
When? Saturday, September 26th 1:00 pm - 6:30 pm
~~~~~
We will start with a one hour meet and greet at Jack Seaton Park. We will gather around the area of the North baseball diamond. There are washrooms, a play structure, picnic tables and a payphone available! This area of the park is not paved, but is mostly level and wheelchair friendly. Take this time to mingle, meet some new faces and team up for the next part of the event.
At 2 pm, we will start the dash portion of the event; it's a cache hunt! Form teams and nominate a driver. You'll be going on a tour of Lake Country. You will be given a list of coordinates to visit. Each set of coords will lead you to a cache where you will search for a clue. Once you've visited each location, you will have everything you need to find the final bonus cache!
After a fun day of touring and caching, we will gather back at Jack Seaton Park for more mingling and a BBQ! We will fire up the bbq at 4:30 and hot dogs and hamburgers will be available by donation. All proceeds will be donated to charity.
I am excited to annouce that Landsharkz (www.landsharkz.ca), GeoWyrms (stores.geowyrms.com), WorldCaching (worldcaching.com) and the BCGA have generously donated some goodies to be given away at the event as well! Thank you Landsharkz, GeoWyrms, WorldCaching and the BCGA!!
