Parking is available in the village and the easiest and quickest approach is taking the footpath leading from the Middleton road (B6277) towards Thwaite Hall. If desired, this path links in with the riverside walk from Cotherstone to Romaldkirk where other caches could be included.
The location is a picturesque spot so please respect the vegetation around it, there's no need to trample anything in order to retrieve the cache. If you come from the Middleton road side of the location feel free to carry on the walk towards the river passing a local farm selling free range eggs and a choice of paths towards either left towards Romaldkirk or right towards Cotherstone along the riverside. Although the Thwaite Hall path is the quickest to get to GZ, a far nicer walk is to follow the path alongside the river. From the village green (in front of the Fox and Hounds pub) walk down to the river and cross the footbridge to your left. Follow the path along the riverside, over the stepping stones eventually splitting away from the river and towards the cache. Please note, if you use this route then after crossing the first bridge stay on the same side of the river. In other words, this cache is on the OPPOSITE side to Troll's Treasure. If using this route then, after the path moves away from the river you'll pass to the right of a courtyard and start towards a farm. Head for the gate top left of this field, though it's not marked as one it is a footpath (it does say to close the gate on the sign though). The cache has enough room for small trades and TB's and when I relaunched it the contents were - (Notebook, pencil and sharpener), Rubber turtle, Homemade Shaun of the dead badge, Yellow powerball, Kate Walsh badge, Astronaut, Darth Spud keyring and Texas Travel bug
