There is always a reason to get together with your fellow geocachers for a quick lunch and celebration:
- Celebrating the end of Summer Vacation!
- Celebrating the quiet house after your kids have gone back to school!
- Celebrating the appearance of the sun after what seemed like weeks of non-stop rain (hopefully I’m not jinxing it)!
Come out and join RCizzy1022 and I for a relaxing picnic and meet-and-greet at Lake Bonny Park. The park boasts a few sports fields (softball and soccer) as well as a 1.3 mile paved trail around the park and a short boardwalk that goes out onto the lake. There is also a playground for children located near the pavilions, and 5 listed caches along the trail. Restrooms and water fountains are available throughout the park
The event will run from 11:00 A.M. to 12:00 P.M. and it will be a very casual event. There is no need to stay for the whole event, and no reason you can’t come early or stay late! There are a few pavilions with picnic tables in the park. They are first come, first serve, so we can’t guarantee which one we will get. We will make it obvious on the day of the event where we will be meeting though!
Please bring your own lunch and drink! Rcizzy1022 and I will provide some sort of dessert. If you want to just come out and socialize, that’s ok to! Bring any trackables you may want to share or trade.
This may also be your last chance to snag the “Meet your Road Crew” souvenir if you haven’t already. Hope to see you all there!
