Geocache Description:

A bison tube in another tube is placed near a boundary marker for the original (1877) boundary of the Parish of St. John, Abbeydale. Please only remove the bison tube not the whole thing otherwise it doesn't stay as well hidden!!!

Gwynna's Geowheels is often parked about 400 ft from here if you want an additional find....!

There were origionally 6 markers for the parish of St. John, Abbeydale. You are looking for number 3

1 and 2 were placed along the southern boundary of the parish which is now part of the parish of All Saints, Totley. Number 5 is built into the front garden wall of 45 Ashfurlong Road. Number 6 is on the south side of the Whirlow Brook, near the footpath from Abbeydale Road South to Limb Lane. Up until boundary changes in 1974 this represented the boundary between the sees of Canterbury and York, between "darn sarf" and "oop North".
