Geocache Description:

A match container that I bought inside here.

The aircraft pictured on the sign where the cache is hidden is the name of the cache. It was one of a kind bomber ,known as the Barling Bomber, made here in Hasbrouck Heights in 1922. It was so big that only four airports were big enough to handle it so I it was shipped to Ohio, reassembled, and then flown. It turned out to very underpowered. All the wings and rigging caused too much drag. The military of the time was opposed to airpower. Orders were given to have the aircraft burned. All that remains is one of the wheels. Flag Counter
