Geocache Description:

A nice easy cache not too far from the road along a bridleway. Please note that if you venture further along the trail it becomes quite steep, and muddy in wet weather. The cache is NOT hidden in the nearby drystone wall.

A lovely little bridleway between Ingbirchworth and Thurlstone that follows an old pack horse trail. The trail is marked on old maps of the area and passes beneath the dam wall of Royd Moor reservoir, which was built relatively recently in 1934. If you look around you'll find what locals call the 'Donkey Stone' which is located near the cache. The Donkey Stone is a flat flagstone on the trail which has the outline of a horse or donkey carved into it, alongside the initials FD (or possibly PD)
