Geocache Description:

WELCOME TO CALLALA BEACH

Callala Beach welcomes you

To have a swim and a coffee or two

You can paddle your board across the bay

And maybe see some dolphins at play

There are lots of things for you to explore

There’s tennis, golf, bowls and lots more

So stay the day and have fun exploring

Life at the beach is never boring

And when you go home, you won’t be alone

Your memories will stay, so have a Great Day!

Did you know?

Callala Beach was originally named Honeysuckle Beach by George William Evans when he saw red honeysuckle thriving there in 1812. By 1841 it was known as Callala which has two possibilities - kallalla is an aboriginal word for fish, or from one of Berry’s convicts Patrick Smith who was born at Callala Ireland and lived in this area.

CONGRATULATIONS FTF: Tabbycat 34 and Sam go with happiness!!
