Did you know?
Callala Beach was originally named Honeysuckle Beach by George William Evans when he saw red honeysuckle thriving there in 1812. By 1841 it was known as Callala which has two possibilities - kallalla is an aboriginal word for fish, or from one of Berry’s convicts Patrick Smith who was born at Callala Ireland and lived in this area.
