Bostäderna vid Platsen (eller ”Plassen” som bjuvsborna kallar det) uppfördes av Kropps AB, gruvbolaget, i samband med deras etablering i Bjuv på 1870-talet. Området som helhet med bostäder, trädgårdar, kolonilotter, gångbron till affärscentrum och arbetsplatserna på tegelbruket berättar om brukshistoriska levnadsförhållanden och utgör en viktig del av Bjuvs historia och identitet. Arbetarbostäderna uppmärksammades vid en Parisutställning under slutet av 1800-talet.

The residences at the Place ( or " Plassen " as Bjuv residents call it) was built by Kropps AB , the mining company , in connection with their establishment in Bjuv in the 1870s . The area as a whole, with homes , gardens, allotments, the pedestrian bridge to the business center and work in brickworks tells of use historic living conditions and constitutes an important part of Bjuvs history and identity .
