Nachdem ich mehrere Jahr Quartier auf der Oberetteshütte bezogen, tolle Touren in der Umgebung gemacht und die herzliche Gastfreundschaft und extrem leckere Küche von Karin und Edwin genossen habe, möchte ich mit diesem Cache ein paar mehr Leute motivieren, diese noch recht einsame Bergregion zu besuchen.
Die Oberetteshütte hat eine bis zum Ende des 19. Jahrhunderts zurückreichende Geschichte. Die aktuelle Hütte wurde allerdings erst 1984 erbaut. Die genauere Geschichte und alles was man sonst noch wissen muss, findet man auf der Web-Seite der Hütte unter http://www.oberettes.it
Bitte nicht auf die absturzgefährdete Seite des Felskammes hinter der Hütte steigen. Man kann die Hütte vom Cache sehen.
Der Hüttenwirt Edwin hat dankenswerterweise die Cachepflege übernommen.

Il rifugio Oberettes è famoso fra gli alpinisti per essere il punto di partenza per l’ascensione alla vetta della Palla Bianca, ma offre molte possibilità di escursione ed arrampicata anche ai meno allenati.
Questa semplice Cache vuole essere di ulteriore stimolo a visitare questo rifugio gestito con amore in una location meravigliosa.
Dopo aver sperimentato per diversi anni e in diverse occasioni l’ospitalità del rifugio, aver fatto delle gran belle gite nei dintorni e aver goduto dell’accoglienza calorosa e dell’ottima cucina di Edwin e Karin, vorrei dare anche ad altri, con questa Cache, la motivazione per visitare quest’angolo di mondo ancora abbastanza solitario e relativamente incontaminato.

The Oberetteshütte is known among climbers as the starting point for the ascent to the Weißkugel. Staying at the Oberetteshütte multiple times, I made impressive walks in the area and enjoyed the warm hospitality and extremely tasty cuisine by Karin and Edwin. For that, with this cache I want to motivate more people to visit this still quite lonely mountain region.

Please do not climb on the crash-prone side of the rock ridge behind the hut. You can see the hut from the cache.
