Oldest Soto Zen temple in Akita (補陀寺) Traditional Cache

This cache is near Hoda-Ji temple in the suburbs of Akita City.

Hoda-Ji temple was erected in 1349, and it is the oldest of the Soto Zen temple in Akita. 
If you climb the a slope with cedar trees, you will see the majestic temple gate. This gate (tower gate) and the main hall is the Akita City designated tangible cultural property.
Near the temple, there are the small diameter which Nihon dandelion bloom in spring, and the waterway that fireflies flying in early summer.

キャッシュは秋田市の郊外にある補陀寺のそばにあります。

補陀寺は1349年に建立された，秋田最古の曹洞宗禅寺です。杉並木のある坂道を登ると，堂々とした山門が見えてきます。この山門（楼門）と本堂は，秋田市指定有形文化財です。
寺のそばには，春になると日本タンポポの咲く小径や，初夏に蛍が飛び交う水路があります。
