How Geocaching Works

Please note Use of geocaching.com services is subject to the terms and conditions in our disclaimer.

Geocache Description:

The north-western edge of Aylesbury is home to Britain's tallest wind turbine. The controversial 149m tall 2mw turbine was built in 2010 and provides 2000 homes with electricity. This beacon of clean energy is visible from the footpath and the footpath itself can be easily reached from the round Aylesbury Ring walk, albeit at a bit of a detour. Recommended parking is in Buckingham Park at the shops for free. It is then a short walk of around 10-15 minutes to the GC.

The co-ordinates will take you just off the footpath between the Western Link Road and the A413. At the site, all is not as it seems and the cache is not going to be easily reached unless you have the right tool for the job. Force is not required so please do not try to move or remove the hiding place.

Happy searching
