A quick flash mob event cache in Hawick’s Wilton Lodge Park which will hopefully help some of you fulfil the 2015 Road Trip requirements. I've only ever met one local cacher but I know there are more of you out there !
Meet at the new Elliot Bandstand in the middle of the park at 6pm, exchange a few stories/swaps a few items you’ve picked up on holiday etc, and finish at 6:30pm.
Lots of parking possibilities nearby – next to the artificial pitches just off the A7 or north-west of the GC at the Walled Gardens if you’re familiar with the area.
Many moons ago there was a bandstand in the park, then it was a paddling pool, then it got filled in and was a flower bed. But no matter what it is at any given time the local athletics club always give park race route instructions which include “round the bandstand”. We now have a glorious new one on the spot and the instructions make sense to all those under 50 year-olds who never saw the original one.
