Om man ska åka ut till Ödeshög, så kan man passa på att lösa lite mystar på vägen…
Destiny Pile Mystery Road är en serie mysteriecacher som ligger utmed vägen mellan Tranås och Ödeshög. Jag har fått idén från Hvitfeldts E4 Mystery Trail-serie, och tanken är att även DPMR ska utökas bit för bit, med nya mystar som handlar om lite allt möjligt.
De flesta DPMR-mystar kan lösas hemifrån i förväg och är därefter enkla att logga. En och annan, som den här, kräver däremot även lite ansträngning och problemlösningsförmåga även i fält. Räkna med att den kan ta upp till en timme att klara av på plats, från det att du anländer till det första steget fram till finalen. Du får koordinaterna till första steget genom att lösa problemet nedan.
Den här gången är Albmi och Kicken inte ute på FTF-jakt. Istället står de bara på en klippa och funderar på konstiga tal och siffror. Ja, de brukar göra det ibland när de löser mystar.
Kicken tänker på ett tvåsiffrigt, positivt heltal X. Om han placerar siffran 8 före X, så bildas det tresiffriga talet A. Om han istället placerar 8:an i slutet av X, så bildas det tresiffriga talet B. Han inser att A = 7,5 * B. Vilket är talet X?
Albmi tänker på det femsiffriga, positiva heltalet Y. Om han placerar siffran 2 före Y, så bildar han det sexsiffriga talet C. Om han istället placerar 2:an efter Y, så bildar han det sexsiffriga talet D. Han inser att D - (2 * C) = 62650. Vilket är talet Y?
När du har räknat ut talen X och Y, så är X1..X2 respektive Y1..Y5 siffrorna på motsvarande position i de båda talen (om X = 47 så är t.ex. X1 = 4 och X2 = 7).

Most DPMR mysteries can be solved at home, and are easy to log after that. A few of them, however (like this one), require some effort and problem solving skills at the location as well. Expect it to take an hour to find this one, from arriving at the first step to the final. You get the coordinates of the first step by solving the problem below.
This time, Albmi and Kicken are not on a FTF hunt. Instead, they are just standing around on a cliff, thinking about strange numbers. They use to do that sometimes when they solve mysteries.
Kicken is thinking about a positive two-digit integer X. If he inserts an 8 at the beginning of X, he creates the three-digit number A. If he instead inserts the 8 at the end of X, he creates the three-digit number B. He realizes that A = 7,5 * B. What is the number X?
Albmi is thinking about the positive five-digit integer Y. If he inserts a 2 at the beginning of Y, he creates the six-digit number C. If he instead inserts the 2 after Y, he creates the six-digit number D. He realizes that D - (2 * C) = 62650. What is the number Y?
After calculating X and Y, the variables X1..X2 and Y1..Y5 are the numbers in that position in these numbers (for example, if X = 47, then X1 = 4 and X2 = 7).
