Geocache Description:

A walk of approximately 3 miles around the runways and tracks at Twyford Woods, formerly RAF North Witham.

Now you are walking on runway 1.

A clasified task undertaken here was converting a Northrop P-61 black widow night fighter for observation of the progress of the D day invasion. An Army General and Admiral viewed the goings on and reported back to the General Eisenhower command post in the UK.
