Geocache Description:

A puzzle to learn about the man behind the name of Mount Lambie.

John Lambie was a surveyor, road builder and a magistrate in the Monaro region in later life. He helped build the great southern road before helping Surveyor Thomas Mitchell make major improvements on the great western road. He used chained and unchained convicts to assist in the building of these roads.


The cache is not at the given co ordinates, but is close by in the cemetery.
