Geocache Description:

Beaver Creek Treasure is not too far off of the beaten path, but will require driving on a level, well-maintained gravel road and a brief hike in an area without any trail. No bushwhacking required!

It is near the Beaver Creek Cabin.  Please do not go near the cabin, especially if it appears the occupants are there.  They want a peaceful, undisturbed time, please let them have it.  Also, do not park near the "Road Closed" gate.  Park along the road 1/4 mile to the north/west.  To make it more adventurous, there may be some large downed trees over the small stream that is between the gravel road and the cache.

The cache is hidden in a large rock formation.  No rock climbing is necessary, only a small amount of loose rock/dirt incline.  You will have to navigate downed trees to get to the cache.

Keep in mind that there is no cell phone service anywhere nearby. It's 6.3 miles to the nearest cell phone service at Mores Creek Summit, or at least 19 miles to Idaho City, *if* you have the right provider, that is.

After finding the cache, I recommend the more fun and adventurous route across the Creek on one of the downed trees!
