| [LT] NERIES REGIONINIS PARKAS – tai visu pirma Neris, su jos vaizdingomis apylinkemis, ma˛uciais kaimeliais ir senosios Lietuvos istorijos klodais. Parko plotas – virš 10 000 ha. Parke yra 11 draustiniu, 1 gamtinis rezervatas, virš 30 valstybes saugomu gamtos ir kulturos paveldo objektu. Išskirtine parko padetis – tarp dvieju Lietuvos sostiniu – senosios Kernaves ir Vilniaus – lemia kulturos paveldo objektu gausa. Palei upes krantus stuksantys aukšti piliakalniai, alkakalniai, šimtameciai a˛uolai, senoves gyvenvietes ir gausybe pilkapynu mena proteviu laikus, ju gyvensena, paprocius bei tikejima. Lietuvos valstybes kurimosi laikotarpiu šios ˛emes buvo Lietuviu ˛emiu vienijimosi centru ir besikuriancios Lietuvos valstybes branduoliu. |
[EN] The Neris Regional Park is, first of all, the Neris with its picturesque vicinities, tiny villages and historical layers of old Lithuania.The area of the park is more than 10 000 ha. In the territory of the park, there are 11 strict nature reserves, 1 nature reserve, more than 30 natural and cultural heritage objects having state preservation status.The exceptional position of the Park, i.e. between the two capitals of Lithuania – the old Kernave and Vilnius, determines the abundance of the objects of cultural heritage. Along the banks of the river, the high mounds, saint grove hills, centennial oaks, old settlements and the abundance of barrows reveal our ancestors' times, the pattern of their lives, customs and beliefs. In the period of the establishment of the Lithuanian State, these territories were a centre of the unified Lithuanian lands and a core of the establishing Lithuanian State.

In Karmazinai barrow yard, there are the only 3 hand-made barrows in Lithuania, which were restored after archaeological excavations;
There is the longest cognitive path for the disabled in Lithuania (2.3 km);
The Duksta stream is the only in Lithuania, which, according to the speed of its water fall in spring, is similar to a mountain river;
In this area, a tradition of palm weaving was born;
It is the only regional park, in which even 14 out of 15 species of bats living in Lithuania are registered. |
