In the heart of the pretty village of Aynho or the Apricot Village as its known locally. is the CofE church of Saint Michael.
The tower was built of limestone in the 14th Century, although the main body was demolished in 1723, before being rebuilt betwenn 1723-1725 by Edward Wing who was responsible for the rebuilding in the English Baroque style. The north and south elevations mimic the facade of a country house with its central doorway and two storey windows.
