Il Museo "Tazio Nuvolari" è dedicato alla memoria dell'indimenticabile campione che Ferdinand Porsche definì "il più grande pilota del passato, del presente e dell'avvenire".
Nuvolari, fra il 1920 e il 1950, disputò oltre 350 corse in moto e in auto ottenendo non meno di 161 vittorie, 2 titoli di campione d'Europa, 5 di campione d'Italia, 5 primati internazionali di velocità. La struttura museale ha sede nella chiesa sconsacrata del Carmelino, posta lungo il "Percorso del Principe", che collega Palazzo Ducale a Palazzo Te. Raccoglie le medaglie d'oro, i trofei, le targhe e le coppe vinte dal “Mantovano volante”, testimonianze di una carriera sportiva e di una vita divenute leggenda. Inoltre sono presenti gli effetti personali del campione: caschetti, guanti, occhiali, tute, l'inseparabile maglia gialla e la famosa tartaruga d'oro con la dedica "All'uomo più veloce, l'animale più lento". Originali filmati d'epoca proiettati su grande schermo e un'esposizione di preziosi modelli in scala permettono di rivivere l'emozione delle gare motoristiche della prima metà del Novecento.
