Your support is helping us to continue to make time spent in hospital better for young patients and their families cared for at the Royal Hospital for Sick Children, Edinburgh. Over the next few months we will help to make sick kids better by continuing to provide vital funding for the Drop in Centre, Family Accommodation, the Play Department, Kidsnet and the much loved Clowndoctors, who provide laughter and entertainment for our younger patients.

Vogrie a Grand Day Out returns!

1.00 - 4.00 you will find us down at the big house munching on the cakes!

Yes, its that time of year again, summer is almost over and autumn is almost upon us and time to think of Vogrie!

Time to catch up with friends old and new, whilst fitting in a few caches around the beautiful grounds of Vogrie. Hopefully this time I will make it, dogs willing!! Hillbagger and Pendragon have some cunning plans to keep you all on your toes!

This year the geocaching event with be part of the Midlothian Science Festival Month at Vogrie. http://midlothiansciencefestival.com/ We would be grateful if fellow cachers could also be on hand to help and guide any newbies who might want to give caching ago.

Do remember your £1.00 for parking! Tokens need to be purchased at the machine BEFORE you get to the barrier, the token works the barrier. At Vogrie there is a cafe where teas, coffees and light snacks are available to purchase. But of course cakes will be available. Normally you will find us in the gazebo by the big house but, if the weather is not kind, then hopefully we will have relocated to the entrance to the main house again.

We can't promise good weather, and there may be quite a bit of mud involved in places, so bring suitable footwear. Cache hounds are welcome, although are not allowed to play in the playparks!
INFO There are 11.5 miles of signed footpaths passing through sweeping parkland, woodlands and the River Tyne Valley. There are also two playparks, one near the car parking and another further down. A link to Vogrie country park http://www.midlothian.gov.uk/info/200142/vogrie_country_park Thanks to the kind permission of the Mid Lothian Ranger Service there will hopefully be new permanent caches for you to find any time during the day.
