This is a collection of 125 puzzle caches of varying degree of difficulty. Some of the puzzles might be more challenging and some are easy enough to be solved by anyone from the other two state universities (Just kidding, Iowa has 3 fantastic state universities). ;-) Hopefully everyone will find something that they enjoy. Geocheckers will be provided on some, but not all, of the caches. All caches are within 4 miles of the given coordinates. Permission was obtained for deviation from the suggested 2-mile radius due to permit restrictions and housing density in the area surrounding the geoart.
Good luck and have fun!
Hello there!
I apologize that it’s taken me so long to respond to your email. I’ve been busy traveling again. As always, it’s been an adventure!
In November I flew on Delta airlines to Allentown, PA. From there, I rented a car and drove to Alpha, NJ. I arrived in time to have lunch with my friend, Charlie, who is from India. We played a quick nine holes at Morgan Hill Golf course before I checked in the Grand Eastonian Hotel. By then, I was tired from my travels and ready for supper and a quiet evening. Unfortunately, there was a rowdy wedding reception being held in one of the ballrooms and guests had spilled out into the hallway. Several were dancing the Foxtrot to loud country music!
If that wasn’t crazy enough, a guest who’d clearly had too much Jack Daniel’s Whisky, stumbled over and invited us to join the party. Since my friend is from India and had only lived in Alpha for a couple months, I assumed he’d want nothing to do with the crazy Americans. However, before I could respond, Charlie was right there dancing the Foxtrot along with everyone else! I stood there in shock until someone shouted across the room, “Hey Charlie, great moves! Bravo!” Apparently it was a friend of his from the Golf Club. Can you believe it?
I’ll write more about the rest of the trip later. I hope you are well and are having fun back in Iowa finding caches! Enjoy and good luck!
PS> If you need a geochecker, I’d recommend this one here.
