The Gear Check:
That weirdo tree climbing instructor from the Victorian Climbing Club is back in town.
Geocaching is a game to be played in the great outdoors and with that comes a fair amount of gear. Let's get together and get smart! This is a special event for tree-climbing geocachers* to share safety procedures. Unfortunately climbing accidents happen and most of them are avoidable. Let's make sure it doesn't happen in the T5 community. Bring all of the following:
- Ropes
- Shiny things
- Not so shiny things (aka broken gear)
- Near-miss stories
- Lessons learned from accidents
This is all about talking gear and equipment. Let's face it: If that wouldn't be part of the game, we wouldn't do it :o)
Cheers
The Gear Guys
* Please be aware this is NOT a complete climbing course. However if you don't know how to climb, we might chuck you on a rope so you can have a go.

The 41st Elite Corps - We're a bunch of tree climbing Geocachers living in New South Wales, Victoria and Queensland. The name comes from various Star Wars Lego kits we are photographing while playing outside. Let's face it: In the end there's nothing elite about us, we just couldn't let go of our toys while growing up.
