Geocache Description:

Lets go for a hike!

Mount Rosa!

This will be a meet and greet style event at the published coordinates at 12:00 noon. Arrive by the posted time to join us for some giveaways, story telling, and beautiful views! Everything should be completed by 12:45pm.

Meet at the Parking Coords @ 8:00am if you would like to join me on my journey to the event location.

I've plotted out 7 caches along the way and am estimating about 5 hours for the total trip.  If there is anyone with experience who can offer better routes or time periods please let me know!  It appears the road to Frosty Park camping area may be washed out.  If it's not passable we will meet at the listed Rosemont Parking lot.  If it's open or we have enough folks with 4x4's we could cut the trip in half and meet further up at the actual Mt. Rosa/Frosty Park Trailhead.  Volunteers welcome for this part!

This is my currently planned route (except not to back track): http://www.everytrail.com/guide/mt-rosa-trail

Here's some information on the Mount Rosa: http://www.summitpost.org/mount-rosa/152698  And https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mount_Rosa_(Colorado)

The difficulty/terrain rating is based upon the hardest cache rating along the planned route.

Be prepared! Bring plenty of water and clothing for all weather conditions!

Can't wait to see everyone!
