Geocache Description:

Come and explore this hidden Auckland gem.

A 700m walk now connects the Howlett Reserve and Waterview Reserve.

At last after being fenced off for many months this pathway re-opened in July with the path upgraded and the area replanted with trees and shrubs.

Depending on which entry you use, on your journey, you will pass the Te Auaunga-Oakley Creek, Motu Manawa - Pollen Island Marine Reserve, watch for cyclists on the Northwestern Motorway cycleway and see glimpses of the Waitemata Harbour

There is still plenty of construction going on as part of the Waterview Connection Project, with cranes, diggers and men in hard hats being part of the view. Some of the flyovers are still waiting for the Super-T beams to be lifted onto there piers/columns. The whole project is scheduled for completion early in 2017.
