Geocache Description:

One of the six Dinosaur Cache’s in the Viney Hill Brook Jurassic Park series.  Cache can be found as a stand alone cache, but if you are attempting to find the final mystery Jurassic Park Cache in the park, do not forget to gather the information required before going on your way.  For additional information on deciphering this cache’s clue, make sure you have checked out Hammond’s Dream.


Name: Dilophosaurus

Meaning: “Double-Crested Lizard”

Height:  6 Ft

Length: 20 Ft

Weight:  800 lbs

Period: Jurassic

Diet: Carnivore

Ranger’s Note:  One of the most prehistoric animals we have bred here at the Jurassic Park, the Dilophosaurus has answered many questions researchers have long held concerning it, as well as introducing some brand new surprises.  For example, we have learned the Dilophosaurus is capable of spitting debilitating venom from its mouth, much like a cobra.  Keep those safety goggles on at all times!
