Geocache Description:

This cache is big enough for trackables and swaps. The obvious 'landmark' is a popular dog walking turn around, so beware of muggles and their pets! This one contains a 'First to Find' gift for a lucky person! :-)

This is part of our Roborough Ten Oaks Loop Walk. The walk is approximately 2 3/4 miles and will take you through the surrounding countryside where there are some lovely quiet locations. Some caches could be cache and dash, but to appreciate the area we recommend 'doing the loop' on foot. Go clockwise from number one for a leg burner walk on the hills or anti clockwise for inclines which are less steep!

There is plenty of parking alongside the road within the village, but please leave enough room for large farm machinery to pass through and residents to get in and out of their driveways or to park outside their own house.

Nestled in the heart of the countryside, between Exmoor and Dartmoor, Roborough is a friendly village community situated just off the beaten track. There are five roads leading into the tiny village, so as a visitor it can be quite confusing!
Topographically Roborough is on the plateau between the Torridge and Taw Rivers. The parish covers an area of 1258 hectares and contains a population of some 258 parishioners. It is centred on a modest hill top village, which is surrounded by a pastoral landscape of rectangular fields, high hedges and scattered farmsteads. Roborough has a pub, a well used village hall which has been recently refurbished; years ago this used to be the local primary school, many Roborough residents remember their happy school days spent here; a church with an active congregation who are always putting on events in and around the village; and a chapel situated just outside the village at Ebberly.
