"Discovered" this trail when volunteering for Scenic Hudson to do some trail building. Thought it would be different to be FTH (First To Hide) along this new section of trail. Hopefully, many more caches will follow, providing cachers with a new local venue.
As part of the 10 mile network of trails from the Roosevelt Estate heading north to Ogden Mills, this is the latest section in the link. The cache site is part of the Dominican Camp which was purchased by Scenic Hudson (see this). It was a summer camp for boys administrated by the Dominican Fathers for over 75 years, closing in 1986 and obtained by Scenic Hudson in 2008.
To get to the cache, park at the listed coordinates, and walk out into the field along the trees to the right. Follow the mowed path until you come to the beginning of the trail on the right, which is marked. The cache is about 1.25 miles from parking and 15 feet off the trail.
DO NOT PARK ON YACHT CLUB ROAD. YOU WILL BE TICKETED/TOWED!
This park is owned and managed by Scenic Hudson (www.scenichudson.org). Individuals seeking geocaches do so at their own risk and must follow the park rules listed on the park’s kiosk. This cache was placed with the permission of Scenic Hudson.
