Geocache Description:

This is a nice walk on a paved trail that you are unlikely to be aware of if you don't live in the immediate area

The cache is located off of a paved trail that can be accessed from multiple trailheads. The difficulty of the terrain varies widely depending on where you join the trail. From the lowest elevation trailhead, the elevation change is over 800 feet in under .25 miles. The walk to the cache from this trailhead is just under one mile. Other trailheads provide an easier walk for a shorter distance. The attached photo shows a map of the trail if you want to "cheat".

When we left the cache it contained:

  • Andre the Giant has a posse sticker
  • 2 "Book Crossing" paperbacks
  • Sunglasses
  • Mini FM radio
  • Rubber Lizard
  • Plastic Slinky
  • Mouse Pad
  • Mini First Aid Kit
  • Rolling rubber shark chasing a fish
  • CD of various artists
  • Rubber Frog
  • American Flag Pin
  • Bubbles

WATCH OUT FOR THE PRICKLY CACTUS!!! You should be able to access the cache with no problem but there is plenty in the surrounding areas.

The cache is a shoebox sized plastic container. This is not a waterproof container so please make sure everything is in the large ziplock bag when you are finished

Be certain to walk the dirt path to the top of the hill on the west side of the trail from viewpoint #3. The view can be spectacular on a clear day and is pretty nice even when it's cloudy.
