Geocache Description:

A series of caches meant to provide a little information about my favourite equine - the donkey:-) All of the donkeys in the photos on the cache pages can be found living nearby at The Donkey Sanctuary of Canada.

The spring and summer can be a beautiful time outside, but with the lovely weather comes the bugs. Some donkeys are so bothered by flies, which love to sit in the corners of the eyes and bite the inside of the ears, that they need to wear a fly mask in order to comfortably get through the day. The masks should be custom made to fit each donkey so that there isn't further irritation due to tight fitting masks or rubbing. Some fly masks also incorporate full ear covers to keep the pesky bugs from burrowing into and biting the inner ear. Although they may look funny, the masks are lightweight and see-through, and allow the donkey to go about its business a little more comfortably.

Chullo looking handsome in his fly mask:-)
