Coming from the East or West, following a fence will lead you to a stile, where the cache can be found (on the Southern "Kelly's Lough" side of the fence). Ensure it is covered up well after being retrieved.
Note: Crossing the stile leading down towards Glenmalure valley has been expressly forbidden by the landowner.
At the stile, there are a variety of different routes to continue your hike: you can head South-East towards Kelly's Lough and onto Lugnaquilla, East towards Arts Lough, or West through the forests towards Carrawaystick mountain and the Wicklow Way.
Note that you are not allowed to cross the stile, as the land leading down to Glenmalure Valley is private property and access has been expressly forbidden by the landowner.
To get to the valley, you can go West through Carrawaystick forest for about 4kms and join up with the Wicklow Way to reach the L2083 road. This is actually the half-way point of the Wicklow Way! Look out for the pillar reference point.
Alternatively you head East about 2kms and take a forest trail down to Baravore car park. There is a memorial stone to the 1798 rising nearby.
