Driftwood Traditional Cache

This cache has been archived.

TeamBMZ (bmzdaddy): Good news....this cache lasted a lot longer than I thought it would. After the initial hide the parks department cleared out the honeysuckle and other non native species. Which wiped out the cover but the cache remained. I thought it would get muggled but it lasted until recently.

Bad news...this area was further brush hogged and the cache was destoried. I did find the log book and a few pieces of plastic. The rest is gone. Fun while it lasted but given what's left this requires a total redo.

Thanks to all came a searching!

Geocache Description:

Hidden on the patch of earth that separates Mallard Lake and Creve Couer Lake.

This one is named for the rather large pile of driftwood located nearby.  There are three ways to get to this cache.  Two by land and by water.  By land the easy way may from time to time be locked by a gate to keep folks off the water control gate structure.  Don't worry if the gate is locked you can still get there by land from the other side of the lake. And there is always the water option.  I've never seen the gate locked but I guess it could happen. Bring a fishing pole with you as there is plenty of good places nearby.

Cache is a regular size cache that will be an easy find once you get there.  Lots of swag and room for hitch hikers.

Congrats goes to Karen of Karen-Lonnie for the FTF!
