A pleasant walk on a nature trail loop. The trail is overgrown in a few spots so long pants are suggested.
The trail is fairly easy and should be nice for families, but a few slightly steep, rocky spots and small fallen trees make it impassable to strollers or wheelchairs. Cache is a Rubbermaid container fully stocked with goodies and a new log book.
If you want to get closer to the water you can take a short side trail at N38°57.668' W94°19.388'. Also while in the area be sure to visit the nearby elk and bison enclosures, and visit Missouri Town (fee area) if you have the time.
