Hello! Good luck at finding the G in this set of 5 geocaches. I set these up in memory of my best friend (my dog) who died late last year, Angus. As well as being a sleepy head my wee Westie loved walking around Canonbie and also going on the bus to Langholm for more walks. He was very happy when I took up Geocaching as he loved the adventures we went on! I have picked 5 of Angus’ favourite spots and each are named by a letter of his name. These letters stand for what Angus enjoyed.
G – Geo-hound! As I mentioned earlier Angus enjoyed coming Geocaching with me. Unfortunately there are not that many in Canonbie, so hopefully this will attract more Geocachers to our lovely Village. This is the River Esk. Although he would never go in he enjoyed dotting along the stones and putting his paws in the water. From Canonbie this river flows to Longtown and then onto the Solway Firth. This is a dog friendly area. There are signs saying No Dogs Allowed but you can take them on the grass as long as you watch them. You can park your car up at the Hall. There is a toilet here. There is a park, tennis courts and bowling club. Muggles there some evenings for Bowls or Football. Please try put the geocache back as best you can. Feel free to take anything loose but please leave the pen, logbook and my info. I hope you enjoy my Geocache and are successful at finding the other 4 letters of his name Rebyreb
