This cache is dedicated to Jimmy Buffett and millions of Parrotheads around the world.
The cache was the departure point of the "Son of a son of a parrot" travel bug. "Son of a Son" traveled for a year and a half and actually returned to this cache in January of 2004.
Padanaram Harbor is the site of an alleged tryst between President Franklin Roosevelt and Princess Martha of Norway on August 3rd of 1942 on the presidential yacht Potomac. For more history on this meeting see pages 262 and 263 of Doris Kearns Goodwin's book "No Ordinary Time".
