The Villena Bridge is located over the "Bajada Balta" in Miraflores. It is named after a former Miraflores mayor, Eduardo Villena Rey. It offers an awesome view of the ocean on the west side and of the "Bajada Balta" leading to the heart of Miraflores on the east side. This bridge was once known as the "Paradise of Suicide", because people who wanted to end their lives jumped from this bridge. This is the reason why it now has an acrilic protection on both sides. This is a cache of the Malecón de Miraflores series. It is a small metal container located at the southern end of the bridge, down close to the ground (bring your own pen). The magnet is actually on the hiding spot and not in the box, so the box has to be placed back in exactly the same spot. There is a small metal door that sometimes can be easily opened when unlocked to be able to reach the cache (though lately it has been locked). If you can't unlock it, you can kneel and reach the hiding spot getting your body between the horizontal metal bars. Beware of muggles! It is better to come early in the morning or very late at night to avoid them.
