Geocache Description:

I-275 Bike Trail - Bastide cache is along Meadowbrook Road north of 12 Mile Road. There is parking north of 12 Mile Road off Meadowbrook Road. You can also view an online trail map on Google Maps. It includes markers for official access points to the trail.

The I-275 Bike Trail now uses Meadowbrook Road to connect the section further to the north to that along of M-5. As with the other sections, I am naming them after defunct bicycle manufacturers. This cache is named after Bastide. Bastide began production in England prior to World War 1. Bastide was known for its lightweight design and used smaller wheels than typical for the time. Production ceased in 1936
