Wangianna Siding
Wangianna is located 36km from Marree along the Oodnadatta Track. Formerly the site of a Ghan Railway siding, only the ruins of the fettler's quarters remain.
A harsh environment out here!
We couldn't go past this place on a glorious, clear sky day, without stopping to explore here.
The usual 'Lost Heritage' questions don't apply here, as we all know why the building was abandoned! They re-routed the Ghan Railway Line is why. Leaving places like this dotted along the old line, standing out in this harsh environment.
