In the area about the hiding spot there are views of Collins Cap and Bonnet and down into Collinsvale. At the time of placing it there were several vocal Grey Shrikethrush, making it very enjoyable to be there. It is also close to one of our favourite spots on this part of the East West which gets lots of sun and has a big patch of Tetratheca pilosa, often called Black Eyed Susan. Unfortunately it has also been the location for Spanish Heath and the Wellington bushcare group removed this terrible weed and has been checking for seedlings for over 10 years. On the day the cache was placed we enjoyed lunch in the sun at this very spot

The cache is of course not at the listed coordinates and this list will help work out where it is located.

It is suggested that one of the satellite maps be used, such as Google Earth, to make the task easier. And you can make things even simpler by downloading this file.
