UAE Flags were raised throughout the Emirate of Sharjah on specially constructed flag poles by the instructions of His Highness Dr Shaikh Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Member of the Supreme Council and Ruler of Sharjah.
This cache is the bonus cache of the "Flag Square" series covering each of the large flag poles erected throughout the Emirate of Sharjah. The Emirate of Sharjah is the third largest Emirate in the UAE. Sharjah extends far further than just the city, with various enclaves and even a counter-enclave and is the only Emirate to have a land border with both the Persian Gulf and the Gulf of Oman. The Emirate boasts not only a vibrant city but also fertile oasis areas, pleasant beaches, mountainous areas and large wadis.
The series consists of 5 caches (4 traditional, 1 multi) plus one bonus cache - all located within parts of the Sharjah Emirate although you will often have to enter other Emirates on the way. By completing the series, you will have travelled to both coasts as well as through a variety of changing landscapes. The 5 main caches are all located at Flag Poles erected to celebrate National Day:
