So, we were caching on International Geocaching Day (15th August) to get our souvenir. We were on our way back from Forgotten Falaj trying to get back home in time to host a braai for some friends - we had ice cream and sangria still to make and time was running out!
As cachers invariably do, we were pushing the boundaries of time (having run out of caches locally to home!) but decided to have a "quick 5 minute detour" to explore the area in case there was anywhere suitable for a cache placement. Grey clouds were looming but we thought "surely not rain" - not in mid-summer on the one day of the year we choose to host a braai! Sure enough - little wet droplets started falling from those very clouds along with some thunder and lightening - all in the middle of the day.
We therefore decided we really had to place a cache and with an interesting outcrop that I was tempted to place an Earthcache at one day in the future, decided this would be the spot.
The cache is a small round tin.
