Georgia Geo-Camper's Presidential Camp-out Event Cache

We are happy to be at F.D. Roosevelt State Park again for our September 2015 campout!

Geoquacker has graciously offered to assist in making this month's campout spectacular. Some camping geocachers will be arriving on the 18th to meet up and take full advantage of all geocaches in this park. We'll be hosting a Friday night kick-off event, too!

We will be camping in pioneer campground #2. To reserve your spot, please state in your will attend log, "One camp spot" or the number of camping spots you require. You do not need to make a reservation with the park and no need to check in at the office when you arrive, we'll take care of that at our site.

You will need a park pass if you don't have a annual park pass. Both type of passes are available at the park office.

To reserve your camp at the Presidential Campout, simply note in your 'will-attend' log, '1 camp spot', and you'll be camping with us.

SYNTK
->The cost for camping is $25 per family/camp site for the weekend (Friday and Saturday nights).
->The event is in the "Pioneer Campground #2" (Posted Coordinates). Parking is available nearby.
->This is primitive style camping with no electricity or water at the tent sites. Pack accordingly.
->There is running water and a pit privy at the site.
->Hammock campers: Plenty of trees for hanging but feel free to bring your stands/tripods if you prefer.
->There is a $5 parking fee for non-campers who attend the event unless you have an annual park pass.

No matter of your preference for camping, you're always welcome to join us with our scheduled activities. Please join us for our Saturday night event whether you camp out or not.


You don't have to spend the night camping to be able to attend this event.


This Presidential event starts at 6pm at the posted coordinates.
Schedule of Events:
6 - 8pm – Meet and Greet Dinner. Bring your food and we will cook and eat together.
8 - 8:30pm – Trackable Drawing! Bring unactivated trackables to enter the drawing to win all the trackables in the camper. This will end the event.
9 - 10pm – After event activity! We will search for Screech Owl Night Cache (GC4AHM0)

First time camper? Parks will assist you and provide camping gear and supplies at eight of the Georgia State Parks.

SYWN: Folding chairs, food and beverages, flashlights, a guitar, camp and other nite time gear. If you took pictures while at the event, please share them and add them to your "Attended" log.
