U okviru naše serije cacheva o zagrebačkoj arhitekturi i arhitektima, odlučili smo predstaviti i neke od ostvarenja iz osamdesetih.
Osamdesete su zanimljive zbog više razloga: u osamdesetima gotovo nestaje postmoderna i rađa se dekonstruktivizam, a zbog primjene novih materijala i tehnologija, čitav arhitektonski izričaj dobiva novi zamah…
Tendencije koje su započele u sedamdesetima završavaju na početku ili oko sredine osamdesetih, da bi do kraje te dekade dobile neke sasvim druge predznake.
U tom kontekstu interesantna je poslovna zgrada INE u Aveniji Vukovar Duška Rakića (1978 – 1983), jer se na toj zgradi još uvijek primjećuju trendovi razigranih arhitektonskih volumena i rastresitog formiranja plohe, s kojima je autor eksperimentriao u sedamdesetima.

Eighties are particularly interesting because in that period postmodernism had come to its end and ideas of deconstructivism came out big time. New materials in architecture have also played a big role in this period…
Most of the trends present in architecture of the seventies have ended until the mid eighties. Therefore is INA building in Vukovarska (Duško Rakić (1978 – 1983)) particularly interesting since it still has some of the seventies style design present in his previous work.
