This is the first of my virtual caches intended to entertain and
educate visitors to my community. This first one is very easy, and
you probably won't even have to get out of the car. (Bring the
family! Fun for all ages.)
You are looking for a small stone monument that marks the location
where my community first started. It seems that Mrs. Baker actually
had a major role in the creation of this community. But as it often
happens, Mr. Baker seems to get all of the credit for it. Perhaps
it was because of his funny name? To prove to me that you located
this cache, tell me what was Mr. Baker's funny first name, and in
what year did his wife name our community.
While you are visiting these caches, I'll also point out some
places of interest. For example, while you are reading this
monument, look past it to the small industry across the parking lot
to the south. This is the Furst McNess company, and many old timers
may remember it as a manufacturer of many health care products.
