As they days start to turn cool, this is a wonderful opportunity to visit one of Georgia’s fantastic state parks. There is a state park cache located here as well as about 20 other fun caches in the park. There is also the state historic site located adjacent to the state park. It is open on Saturday from 9-5. If you are working on your historic park coins, come out and grab this site. There is camping available in the park, so make a weekend of it.
GGA is Georgia’s Premier Geocaching Association and welcomes cachers from all over to come out and socialize with your like-minded friends. Share a few caching tips or hints and meet a few new friends.
There will be a short business session but this will leave plenty of time to share your recent stories with others.
As with any other state park, there is a $5 a day parking fee if you do not have an annual state park pass. If you do not have an annual park pass, you might check with your local library to see if they have a pass you can check out for the day if necessary.
