A meet & greet for all area cachers! It has been too long since we've had an event in the Mattoon area so we are fixing that! We all see familiar names on local geocache pages and this is a perfect way to put a face to the geocaching name and have a fun time! :)
We will meet at 2 p.m. in front of the Douglas Hart Nature Center in Mattoon, IL. Stay as long as you like. The Nature Center is open until dusk.
- We'll have a swap/discover table set up so bring those bugs and geocoins!
- There are active geocaches in the Center, great walking trails, and a picnic table area.
- Douglas-Hart Nature Center, including the trails, are stroller and ADA accessible.
- We'll meet at 2 p.m. in front of the visitor center, introduce ourselves, talk geocaching, and have a fun time!
- Parking is available in front of the Nature Center.
- The visitor center will be open until 4 p.m. and has a lot of fun nature activities for kids and is FREE! (Please note - restrooms are located inside the visitor center and will close at 4 p.m. when the visitor center closes.)
- If it rains, we'll meet inside the visitor center.
