Fleet Baptist Church is the oldest church in Fleet, having been founded in 1846 by William Webster. Since then they have grown through many different premises and moved to the current building in 1965.
The church itself holds particularly painful memories for me because, in the very early 1980s whilst playing tag outside the church, I tripped and fell through the front window of the church and have a nice scar on my side to show for it
